Student Wellbeing

Our school prioritises the development of social and emotional learning. This involves students having opportunities to learn and practice social skills such as:

  • cooperation

  • making friends

  • managing conflict

  • being resilient

  • recognising and managing their own feelings.

These essential skills ensure that students are able to work effectively with others, manage their own emotions and persist when encountering challenges. We support students to take risks in their learning and strive hard to achieve success.

The Resilience Project is our whole school wellbeing program, which supports students to understand that the more positive emotions you experience, the more resilient you will be. For that reason we focus on three key pillars proven to cultivate positive emotion; Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness (GEM). Our programs also have a strong focus on Connection, Purpose, Kindness, Emotional Literacy and Physical Health.
