School Values

Our school wide approach to promoting positive behaviours assists students to enhance their social, emotional, and academic outcomes. Students from across the school are able to articulate our four school values and associated behaviours, demonstrating them consistently while at school. They understand their importance and make strong links to achieving personal success.

As a result of the introduction of our new approach in 2021, teachers and students have more time to focus on positive relationships and classroom instruction. Students and staff have benefited from:

  • increased respectful and positive behaviour

  • increased time focused on instruction

  • improved social-emotional wellbeing

  • positive and respectful relationships among students and staff

  • increased adoption of evidence-based instructional practices

  • a predictable learning environment with improved perceptions of safety and increased attendance

The framework which underpins the approach has supported our school to identify and successfully implement evidence-based whole-school practices to enhance learning outcomes for children and young people.

Students receive raffle tickets to acknowledge times they demonstrate our school values and go into the draw to win a prize at our weekly assembly. Raffle tickets also earn house points with the winning house each term rewarded with a special prize. Our house colours are as follows:
