Parent Involvement
Our parents and care givers are a vital part of the learning of their children at Keilor Primary School. Building the ‘Home School-Partnership’ that supports the engagement and learning of students is something we pride. The Keilor Primary School community encourages a high level of participation on many levels and hopes that you will make the most of these opportunities.
Parents and Friends Group
Our Parents and Friends group meets fortnightly on a Wednesday morning to complete general tasks to support our teaching and learning programs. They also support the planning and running of fundraisers which allow us to invest further in resources such as take home reading material.
Classroom Helpers
Many of our parents are extremely generous with their time, supporting in classrooms on a weekly basis, however any level of support is welcome. Please contact your child’s teacher who can find a time for you to support.
School Council
Parents and carers are welcome to nominate for our School Council on an annual basis. We welcome and value this involvement as parent voice allows us to improve our school in many ways. Parents on School Council self nominate for participation in at least one of our five sub committees: Finance, Buildings & Grounds, Canteen, Fundraising and Policy.
